- Military Discounts
To show appreciation for your service, dedication, and sacrifice for country, University of Phoenix online gratefully extend a 20% tuition discount for undergraduate programs and a 20% discount for graduate programs to all active duty military members, all members of the Selective Reserve, and their spouses. This discount is not applicable for members of the Individual Ready Reserve, the Standby Reserve, or the Retired Reserve.
- Credit for Military Experience and Prior Learning
University of Phoenix is a long time member of the Servicemember's Opportunity College (SOC), one of only 1,478 schools currently affiliated. We will accept up to 21 credit hours of college credit for your military training, as long as they apply to your chosen degree program. We also accept transfer credits from regionally and nationally accredited institutions of higher learning.
Service members are eligible to take CLEP or DANTES examinations through an approved military installation at no charge. Up to 30 undergraduate credits can be earned through approved national testing programs.
- Financing Options
Federal financial aid is available. With University of Phoenix online online program, you get full-time student status just by taking one class at a time. If you're active duty, a recent change to federal law allows you to use military Tuition Assistance and supplement it with your GI Bill educational benefits for up to full tuition coverage. Military training and prior work experience can also be used to fulfill some credit requirements.
