  • Business Office Administration
    The Business Office Administration program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the modern office environment that includes computer and basic accounting skills.

    The program includes training in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and selected accounting software. In addition, students learn accounting principles, payroll procedures, standard office procedures, verbal communication techniques, human resource management procedures, introduction to business law and marketing, customer service techniques, business English, medical terminology, and business mathematics.

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician This 8-week program prepares you for the State Licensing Exam to become a California Certified Phlebotomist Technician 1 (CPT-1) and is approved by the Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services Division. On graduation you will be qualified for a satisfying career working in a Clinical Lab, Hospital Medical Lab, Blood Bank, Research Center and more.

  • Clinical Laboratory Assistant The program is divided into six modules and students participate in an externship upon successful completion of all academic requirements. Newbridge College is approved by the Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services Division, to provide Phlebotomy instruction. Graduates of the program will meet eligibility requirements for Phlebotomy Certification examination upon completion.

  • Dental Assistant At Newbridge College, San Diego East -Dental Assistant program is an 8-month course in which students are thoroughly prepared to enter the field of dental medicine.

  • Medical Administration/Insurance As a Medical Administrative student, you will learn to manage Accounts Receivable for medical environments and learn to process claims for Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, as well as Medi-Care and Medi-Cal.

  • Medical Assistant This program prepares you as a Medical Assistant for Clinical and Administrative capacity. This 8-month (30-week) Program builds your fundamental knowledge and understanding of basic human anatomy and common pathology; learn the use of Medical Terminology as it relates to the clinical environment; and become skilled in routine diagnostic laboratory procedures, assisting in routine patient examinations and surgical procedures, and understand the administration of medications, as well as your legal and ethical responsibilities. Graduates receive a Medical Assistant Diploma, EKG Certificate, Injection Certificate, and CPR health care provider level; Graduates are also eligible to take the examination for Certification by the California Medical Assistant Association.

  • Medical Billing and Coding/Office Management This 8-month (30-week) program trains you in basic human anatomy, medical terminology, medical-front office procedures, and submission of medical claims, managed care, insurance reimbursement, procedure and diagnostic coding, all phases of collection procedures for insurance carriers, including tracing a medical claim, appealing low payments, patient accounts, and preparing an account collection.

  • Pharmacy Technician At Newbridge College, San Diego East - Pharmacy Technician program, along with the Medical Assistant San Diego and Dental Assistant San Diego programs, is an 8-month course designed to fully prepare pharmacy students to compete and succeed in the San Diego pharmacy career field. The students receive training on basic human anatomy, chemical processes in the human body, the chemical makeup of medicines, and an overall understanding of the scientific processes behind medicinal application. The students will learn the critical awareness of medicine distribution, quantities, frequencies, and potential side effects.

  • Surgical Technologist This 15-month (62-week) Diploma Program is in-classroom and in-clinic, where students complete an externship after passing their academic requirements. On graduating you receive the Diploma of Surgical Technology and are eligible to sit the National Certifying Examination, administered by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technology.
