BS in Corrections Administration and Management
The Correctional Administration and Management (CAM) program is designed to introduce and develop/enhance the management and leadership skills and methods that are needed to make the modem correctional organization as efficient and effective as possible. A variety of assignments and techniques, employing an active learning format, are used to promote critical thinking and direct application of course material.
The student completing this program will have the effective correctional practice skills, communication skills, analytical skills, teamwork/leadership skills and knowledge to effectively compete in a wide variety of management / administration / leadership positions in virtually any correctional organization. Examples include positions as a CEO, warden, correctional executive, agency directors & deputy directors, and corrections supervisor.
